We are very happy to announce that this year the Vitae Guide by Italian Sommelier Association has awarded the Nicolucci’ Sangiovese Reserve with 4 vine, the highest award into the Vitae Guide. The qualitative aspect of the samples tasted, in fact, has been divided into four valuation bands, identified graphically by a stylized screw. As written into the Vitae Guide, wines with 4 screws are wines from 90 points up, characterized by a combination of style and taste profile.
Wine is not more necessary to life that music and poetry. But what would be life without music, without poetry, without wine? Wine, as well as any other “object” of art, is an expression of lived time.
Luigi Veronelli, Vitae Guide 2016
On our Sangiovese, wine tasters have written:
Garnet red, it is a wine that never ceases to amaze. There is a nice aromas designed with precision and finesse. Intense notes of rhubarb, herbs and balsamic mentholated, elegant sweet spices, the typical sulfur-mineral background. The palate is fine, wraparound, and feeds fresh and balsamic embroidery. Tannins and fruit are scrupulously declined and blended into a pleasant finish. For 2 years in large wood and 3 months in bottle. Woodcocks to the pan.
Ah, if you do not know it, the woodcock to the pan is a typical Salento’s dish based on aromatic herbs, leek and wine with which these birds are cooked in the pan.
Of course we recommend our Sangiovese Riserva General’s vineyard 2012 also with delicious Romagna’s food!
